Why do we love this wine?
This isn’t our first rodeo with this particular house of Barossa legends. However, this is the first of which we snapped up every bottle. This is a special cuvée, an homage to the vineyard that represents the backbone of this particular winery: old vine Barossa shiraz. It’s hard working, relentlessly giving, and concentrates all its goodness in small, powerful doses. If you’re like us, you can taste Barossa shiraz when you hear it mentioned, but this is not like the rest. Think ripe yet firm, impressive yet restrained, loud yet humble. Begging to be drunk and enjoyed now or for a number of years to come. This is - among many other things - a bloody good time.
