Why do we love this wine?
A black fruited masterpiece - this is Langhorne creek up and down. Black berries and dark, ripe cherry sit centre stage, with a smokey, tobacco, spiced accents speak to age and good quality oak. This is one of those wines that typifies the Australian offering - brash and bold and brimming with fruit, but not at the cost of sophistication and finesse. The bit of cellar time has allowed the wine to find harmony in the glass; the acid, tannin, and fruit profile are in perfect step. In a great spot to drink now, but a bit left in the tank for those who want to see those earth and spice tones really come to the fore.
