Why do we love this wine?
Deep, dark and mysterious. Brooding, inky fruit that feels plush and opulent on the palate. This is one for the 'Victoria makes premium cab sauv, too' pile. An absolute triumph. And better yet, the hard work of ageing this wine (read: keeping your mitts off it after you've had a few drinks) is done - this established Victorian is ready to drink. Deftly nuanced with fennel and pepperberry that swirls around a dense fruit centre. All the cab sauv classics chiming in; leather, tomato leaf, capsicum - but there is some cool, minty-fresh qualities on offer too. This is a mammoth wine from a mammoth producer: fit for anyone who considers themselves a cabernet classicist.
