Why do we love this case?
Psst, you there! Yeah you! Stop looking around, you’re acting suspicious. You’re here for the Black Market wines, aren’t you? Yeah, that’s this box here. Don’t worry they’re all 100% legit, we’re just doing our winemaker mates a favour by not shouting their names from the rooftops. We don’t want to upset anyone, just ‘cause we give you the best prices, on the best wines.
2x Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
Like a good book, wine is not all about what’s on the cover. But we have to say, when you’re getting great vino in some super sleek packaging, it’s a big bonus. This is the Barossa classic with a modern edge. Fruit-driven and rich, it hits every corner of your palate with pleasing intensity. The oak-imparted tannins make for a ripper time with some charred meat or veg, perfect for that easy weeknight in.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
Pyrenees — Australia
Big and bold - shiraz that tends to amble around the glass. Plummy and plush, this is really packing a bit of oomph. Bright cherry red with magenta highlights with good intensity and slow legs on the swirl. Delightful plum, raspberry and blackberry aromas with hints of cocoa, nutmeg and a supporting background of sweet toasty black pepper.
Sourced from a selection of premium Victorian Shiraz vineyards. Traditional winemaking applied throughout.
You’d pay $29 full price.

2x Tempranillo 2020
Red — Tempranillo
South Australia — Australia
Ever wanted to indulge in the Iberian beauty that is tempranillo but struggled to find one that doesn’t take itself too seriously? Well, you’ve found your ‘Bingo!’ moment right here. Fresh and juicy, with all that’s loveable about temp: dark cherries, cocoa, a little touch of menthol and blackcurrant all run rife in every drop. Playful at heart, this will lift your spirits any day.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Chardonnay 2022
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
I have to say, I think this could possibly be the best value chardy I have ever tried. I mean it. The best. Ever. That’s not something you say lightly, and I certainly didn’t feel anything wishy-washy about this when I had my first taste. Premium Adelaide Hills fruit hits like no other, and when you pay sub twelve bucks a bottle for it, I think we’re talking about true love. Move over first boyfriend, you’ll be remembering the first dance with this wine for a long time. Primarily this is driven by those citrus and melon notes, there’s a little touch of pineapple and wet stones to satisfy some roundness. You literally could not ask for any more.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Pinot Gris 2022
White — Pinot Gris
King Valley — Australia
Another vintage and another year that this pinot gris provides outstanding value. Let’s just lay out the virtues; mature vines, fantastic high altitude vineyard site, thoughtful and precise winemaking and a low price tag.
There is an intense palate of fresh cut pear, green apple and subtle spice on the finish. It walks the tightrope of providing plenty of flavour while also being dry and crisp, right in the zone for Aussie gris. This has become the go to gris for many a mofo over the years so if this is your first run-in with this runaway success, welcome. If you’re already aware of this gorgeous gris, we know you’ll love the new vintage just as much as the last.
You’d pay $25 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Sauvignon Blanc 2021
White — Sauvignon Blanc
Adelaide Hills — Australia
The Adelaide Hills is the ideal place to grow sauvignon blanc, with high slopes and cool nights. Pair that with a producer who REALLY know what they’re doing (we’re talking a Five Red Star rating from Halliday) and you can’t go wrong. This sauv is clean, light and lively, with all of the gooseberry, floral life and citrus tingles that make the style famous. A refreshing vino typical of Adelaide Hills.
You’d pay $22 full price.

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
