2x Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Limestone Coast — Australia
A friendly drink, and like a good mate it’s not only good company, but has layers. Subtle spices, and a savoury complexity from the winemaker’s magic touch. Single vineyard, basket pressed, quality French oak... but all that magic aside, its medium bodied fruit shows blackberry, plums and red cherries peppered with a touch of regional hillside spice. Perfect with a simple cheese and salami platter! Good company and good spice. Just nice.
You’d pay $35 full price.

Barossa — Australia
Like a good book, wine is not all about what’s on the cover. But we have to say, when you’re getting great vino in some super sleek packaging, it’s a big bonus. This is the Barossa classic with a modern edge. Fruit-driven and rich, it hits every corner of your palate with pleasing intensity. The oak-imparted tannins make for a ripper time with some charred meat or veg, perfect for that easy weeknight in.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Cabernet Blend 2019
Red — Cabernet Blend
King Valley — Australia
It may not be the most traditional of blends, but us Aussies excel in bringing together perfect pairings. Perfectly poised cabernet meets herbaceous, chocolatey tempranillo to create a ripe-yet-savoury drop for all seasons. The tannins are fine, welcoming a little bit of food to pair. We’re thinking some oily cheeses and maybe cured meats. Sounds pretty good, hey?
You’d pay $31 full price.

If you know Coonawarra, we bet you know the makers behind this wine. Each of their wines ooze with sophistication and skill. This is a soaring blend of shiraz and cabernet -a classically Aussie blend we should note- that provides supple jubey fruits in equal measures as fine tannins, vibrant freshness, and a velvety smooth finish. You’ll find yourself reaching for a bottle of this without hesitation, whatever the occasion.
You’d pay $25 full price.

It’s classic full-bodied shiraz with fruit aplenty - rich plums, dark cherries and fresh dates. The nose is full of spice, which continues on the palate, which is plush and full of soft smooth tannins.

McLaren Vale — Australia
A 96pt McLaren Vale shiraz from the famous Bec Hardy? Yes, please. This one’s an easy call. It’s sourced from two vineyards in the Vale, one that’s a bit cooler and one that’s from the famous Blewitt Springs area. 15% new French oak adds just enough structure but still lets the fruit hum to the tune of plums, black cherries and spice.
You’d pay $27 full price.

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
