Why do we love this wine?
Made only from the low-yielding, Gingin-clone vines of Xanadu's original Lagan Estate block. All hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented in French oak (just under a quarter new), then left on lees for nine months to build richness and shape. No malolactic fermentation here - just natural acid holding the whole thing in perfect tension. The palate is powerful but poised, packed with white peach, nectarine, citrus and a lick of toasted oak, all wrapped around a flinty, mineral core. There’s serious length, line and drive. One for collectors and chardonnay obsessives alike - this is built to go the distance.
