Why do we love this wine?
Barossans take their semillon very seriously. Whether it's grounded in merit or sheer interstate rivalry, Barossa locals will happily bad-mouth Hunter Valley semillon for (what feels like) hours. Now, we're not here to pass judgement on whether The Hunter or The Barossa make a better style of semillon but we are here to tell you what this all means. Basically, it's a reminder that some of the greatest winemakers on Earth (Rockford, Penfolds Grange, etc) devote a large amount of time, growing, making and thinking about Barossa semillon - and after one sip of this, you're gonna spend a lot of time thinking about it too. Fuller in body than it's NSW counterparts, this one is rich, flavoursome and downright dangerous come summer. We recommend you drink this cold, in the company of great friends and please, for us, take your time - enjoy this wine.
