Why do we love this wine?
This is the kind of semillon that made the Hunter famous - crystalline, precise and built to age. Textbook stuff. The nose opens with lightly spiced green apples, lime juice and lemon zest, all layered over chalky minerals and a flick of wet stone. The palate is electric, zippy green apple and lime, cut with mouth-watering acidity and underpinned by that classic Hunter flintiness. It’s dry, focused, and has a finish that'll stay with you for days. Drink it now for its youthful zing, or cellar for 8-10 years and watch it evolve into something even more complex and waxy. A must-have for piece fans and lovers of age-worthy whites.
