Polish Hill proves, yet again, that it produces the most age-worthy riesling in the country (if not the world). The nose is alive with green apple, jasmine florals and zesty lime, with a flinty mineral edge that sets the tone. On the palate, it’s taut and vibrant – layers of kaffir lime, citrus rind and Granny Smith apple carried on a cool, slatey minerality. Clare Valley riesling, firing on all cylinders.

Polish Hill River represents some of the finest riesling terroir in Australia, and this classic expression showcases exactly why the sub-region has built such a formidable reputation. The cool, elevated sites produce fruit with natural acidity and mineral complexity that separates great riesling from merely 'good' riesling. Bright natural acidity drives it all the way to a long, refreshing finish, making it a joy to crack open right now. But if patience is your style, this has the bones to cellar for 10–15 years, developing richness and complexity along the way. Either way, it’s Riesling at its most precise and delicious.
