Here's a Clare Valley riesling that's actually figured out the whole fruit vs acidity thing without being cloying or boring. Why do we love this wine?
Stick your nose in and you're met with brown lime (yes, that's a thing), citrus florals, lemon blossom, and enough zing to make a Mojito jealous. There's hints of tropical fruit and white nectarine floating around too, just to keep things interesting. The palate's juicy and generous without going overboard. Think lime cordial, zesty lemon, crisp green apple, and white peaches all having a party on your tongue. There's that fruit richness there too, but it's barely there - just enough to round things out - while bright, well-integrated acidity keeps everything in check and stops it from getting all flabby and dull. The finish goes on and on with this lingering citrus purity that'll have you reaching for another glass before you've even put the first one down. It's got intensity, freshness, and enough grunt to cellar until at least 2030. You will adore this wine.
