Why do we love this wine?
Riesling doing its best impression of restraint before it absolutely does not restrain itself on the nose. Lime and green apple jump straight out of the glass, followed by orange rind and a beautiful talc note that Clare Valley Riesling seems to do better than anywhere else on earth. The palate keeps that same energy - pure, racy, concentrated lime and citrus layered over that same talc character, all riding a steely mineral spine through to the finish. The acidity is still fresh and crunchy, and the aftertaste just keeps going: lime, citrus, talc, stone. Just gorgeous.
