Why do we love this wine?
This is the sixth vintage of the Herència Altés Garnatxa Blanca we have imported and it is a wine that has achieved cult status amongst our staff and customers. It’s not often that we get to work with straight grenache blanc (garnatxa blanca in the local Catalan), so when we came across this organic wine from Terra Alta (the home of grenache blanc), we got pretty excited. This wine is always on the richer end of the spectrum, with a touch of skin contact and time on lees contributing to a wonderfully textural palate. A wine that any chardonnay drinker is sure to appreciate, with stone fruit aplenty and a slight waxiness and pithy finish.
