Chardonnay 2021 – Black Market Deal #40428
- Fresh, juicy
- Tasmania
It’s time to get into the 2021 vintage for Tassie chardonnay. Our mates down in the Coal River Valley have recently bottled this ripper and we’re so stoked to have it in our hands. Such a nice mineral line running through it, adding an extra layer of complexity on top of the lemon and peach fruit profile. The wine is a bit on the fuller side for such a cool climate region, but we absolutely love that. We’re not talking rich like Margaret River, but certainly bigger and bolder than your average Tassie bottle of white.

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
Full price $38.00 from the producer.

Tasmania
Some of the country's highest quality and best value wines unarguably come from this wee island, and the average bottle price is higher than any other region. It is probably the most sustainable part of the Aussie wine industry, given its relatively untapped potential and consistency of quality. There's no denying that the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, sparkling and aromatic whites are up there with the best.
