Why do we love this wine?

For some producers rosé is an afterthought, for this lot it's very much a part of what makes them a 5 star Halliday rated winery. Fresh berries, musk and fresh cream set up a surprisingly long, zesty finish. There's some seriousness and finesse only normally seen in much more expensive wines, but don't let that get in the way of a good time. Invite some friends around and get a smile on your face, this rosé will do the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

This rosé comes from a 5 Star Halliday rated winery where rosé production is taken seriously rather than treated as an afterthought. The wine displays finesse and complexity typically found in much more expensive bottles, with a surprisingly long finish that elevates it above mass-produced alternatives. Being from a boutique, small-batch producer in the prestigious Yarra Valley, it represents exceptional value for a premium-quality rosé.

The Yarra Valley's cool climate and diverse soil types create ideal conditions for producing elegant rosés with natural acidity and delicate fruit flavours. This region is renowned for its ability to retain freshness in wines while developing complex aromatics, which explains the wine's combination of fresh berries and cream notes. The cooler temperatures allow for slower ripening, resulting in the zesty finish and balanced structure that makes this rosé stand out.

The fresh berry and citrus profile with creamy undertones makes this rosé incredibly versatile for food pairing. It excels with seafood dishes, particularly salmon or prawns, where the wine's acidity cuts through richness while complementing delicate flavours. The strawberry notes also pair beautifully with soft cheeses, charcuterie, or Mediterranean dishes featuring herbs and tomatoes.

Serve this rosé well-chilled at 8-10°C to showcase its fresh, zesty character and enhance the citrus and berry aromatics. As a 2025 vintage, it's designed for immediate enjoyment while the fruit flavours are at their peak vibrancy. Store bottles in a cool, dark place and consume within 1-2 years to appreciate the wine's intended fresh and juicy style.

Small-batch production allows winemakers to exercise greater control over every aspect of the winemaking process, from grape selection to fermentation monitoring. This hands-on approach typically results in more distinctive, characterful wines that reflect the winemaker's vision and the vineyard's unique terroir. The boutique nature of this producer means they can focus on quality over quantity, explaining why this rosé displays such finesse and complexity.
