Hard to find, easy to drink. This small-batch, single-vineyard production proves, again, that sometimes wines are easy to drink, easy to love and (thanks to us) easy to get your hands on! A complete no-brainer.

Why do we love this wine?

A dry, mostly savoury rendition, this rosé feels as though it was created to be shared and enjoyed. This is such a versatile wine, leaning somewhat towards the Italian 'Rosato' style, this will go with pretty much any food you could conjure up. Strawberries, watermelon and crisp acidity on the palate the lingering, spicy finish would stand up next to anything from tacos to tortellini.

Frequently Asked Questions

This Kyara rosé leans towards the Italian 'Rosato' style, which emphasises a drier, more savoury profile compared to the fruit-forward approach common in many Australian rosés. The focus on savoury elements and spicy finish creates a more food-friendly wine that's designed for pairing rather than sipping solo. This style reflects the growing trend of Australian producers exploring European winemaking philosophies while maintaining their regional character.

The Barossa's warm continental climate and diverse soil types create perfect conditions for producing structured rosés with depth and complexity. The region's established viticulture expertise, traditionally focused on bold reds, translates beautifully to rosé production where controlled extraction and timing are crucial. The warm days and cool nights help maintain the bright acidity essential for quality rosé while developing the fruit flavours that give this wine its strawberry and watermelon notes.

The wine's versatility shines with Mediterranean and Mexican cuisines - think grilled seafood, charcuterie boards, or spicy tacos where the crisp acidity cuts through rich flavours. The savoury profile and spicy finish make it excellent with herb-crusted lamb, pasta with tomato-based sauces, or even Asian fusion dishes. Unlike sweeter rosés that can clash with savoury foods, this dry style complements rather than competes with complex flavours.

Serve well-chilled at 8-10°C to highlight the crisp acidity and fresh fruit flavours while maintaining the wine's structural integrity. As a current vintage rosé, it's designed for immediate enjoyment and should be consumed within 12-18 months to preserve its vibrant character. Store in a cool, dark place away from temperature fluctuations, and once opened, refrigerate and consume within 2-3 days for optimal freshness.

Light-bodied indicates this rosé has a delicate mouthfeel without heavy tannins or overwhelming alcohol presence, making it refreshing and easy to drink. However, don't mistake light body for lack of flavour - the savoury elements and spicy finish provide complexity without weight. This style makes it perfect for warm weather drinking, extended social occasions, or as an aperitif, while still having enough character to pair meaningfully with food.
