Don't worry, try one of these

Why do we love this wine?

On the nose, it’s red apple, 'strawberries and cream', and peach - and of course that unmistakable granitic minerality that screams “South of France, baby.” The palate is exactly what we've all been looking for - crisp, dry, and just the right side of juicy - peach and plum up front, citrus zing through the middle, and a clean, savoury finish that keeps you coming back for more. This isn’t just another pink drink - it’s the real deal. Drawn from one of Provence’s most celebrated terroirs, crafted to show what rosé should be: elegant, refreshing, and stupidly good with anything from seafood to sorbet.. oh, and of course, sunshine. Grab a few bottles, chill ’em hard, and pour with abandon. Because when it’s AIX, it’s not just rosé time - it’s prime rosé time.

Frequently Asked Questions

This Maison Saint Aix showcases the distinctive granitic minerality that defines authentic Provence rosé, creating a backbone of complexity that separates it from fruit-forward styles from other regions. The terroir imparts a savoury finish and crisp structure that's become the global benchmark for serious rosé production. Unlike mass-produced pink wines that rely heavily on residual sugar, this follows the traditional Provence method of achieving balance through mineral-driven acidity and restrained fruit expression.

Chill this bottle thoroughly to around 8-10°C to highlight its crisp, mineral-driven character and enhance the citrus zing that runs through the palate. The cold temperature will also accentuate the wine's natural acidity, making it incredibly refreshing and food-friendly. Serve in larger wine glasses rather than flutes to allow the delicate aromatics of red apple and peach to develop, and don't be afraid to let it warm slightly in the glass to reveal more complexity.

The wine's crisp, dry profile and savoury finish make it exceptionally versatile with seafood - think grilled prawns, oysters, or Mediterranean fish dishes that complement the Provençal terroir. The mineral backbone and citrus elements also pair beautifully with fresh goat's cheese, herb-crusted vegetables, and even spicy Asian cuisine where the wine's acidity can cut through rich flavours. Its light body won't overwhelm delicate dishes, yet has enough structure to stand up to more robust Mediterranean fare.

The 2024 vintage represents the latest expression of this celebrated Provence terroir, capturing the most recent growing season's unique characteristics while maintaining the house style that has made Maison Saint Aix iconic. Being so fresh, this vintage offers peak aromatics and vibrant acidity that will be at its most expressive now through the next 12-18 months. The youth of this vintage also means you're experiencing the wine exactly as the winemaker intended - with maximum freshness and that distinctive 'strawberries and cream' character at its most pronounced.

Granitic minerality refers to the distinctive taste and textural qualities imparted by the decomposed granite soils common in Provence, which create a subtle stony, almost chalky sensation on the palate. This geological influence manifests as a clean, dry finish with hints of wet stone and a certain 'grip' that provides structure without heaviness. The granite's influence also helps preserve the wine's natural acidity and contributes to that characteristic savoury quality that makes Provence rosés so food-friendly and complex beyond their fruit flavours.
