Zinfandel's got a fearsome reputation - full-bodied, a bold nose, powerful - but really, it's a softie once you get to know it. Jammy berry compote and primary fruit lead the way, with liquorice, vanillan oak and a touch of smoke on the palate, backed by moderate tannin. This is a wonderful Zinf.

Why do we love this wine?
This is a wonderful Zinf. Single-vineyard fruit from coastal Aldinga, cool-fermented and rested a year in seasoned French oak. Cranberries and spice on the nose, a proper flavour explosion in the glass. Easy enough for any old afternoon, memorable enough for something special. Big yes from us.
