This wine is only made when the vintage deserves it. Four releases in history, 98 points, and a single block on the Western Ridge of Greenock that delivers blackberry, dark chocolate and silky-smooth tannins that carry on well past the last drop.

Why do we love this wine?

Sourced from a single old vineyard in the Greenock sub-region of the Barossa, each grape is individually hand-picked to ensure nothing but the best, juiciest, boldest fruit makes the cut. The super small batch is fermented and basket pressed into in oak barrels for 24 months of maturation. The result will leave you with little doubt that this is indeed a very fine wine. Concentrated fruit flavours in spades; blackberry, plum, black olive, dark chocolate and earthy notes. The decadence and outstanding structure of this shiraz carry through the palate and form a long, mouth-filling finish. Look, we see A LOT of shiraz come through the door at Vinomofo, and if this humble wine-professional's opinion means anything: this is red-hot shiraz.

Review

Vinomasters

A breathtaking Barossa Shiraz that announces itself with authority from the first breath. Plush, opulent and fruit-saturated with impeccable balance. Explosive dark redcurrant, black cherry and blackberry drive through the core, wrapped in layers of black olive, cocoa, dark spice and superbly integrated premium French oak. The palate is immense: full-bodied, luxurious and commanding, yet remarkably poised, with seamless, powerful tannins. The length is extraordinary. Long after the sip, the wine continues to resonate, showcasing the depth and concentration only old-vine Barossa Shiraz can deliver. One of the region’s most underrated winemakers and vignerons, this is a monstrous, exhilarating Shiraz of stature and presence, a wine that makes you sit up straight! A standout discovery and a genuine Barossa statement. Superb. Vino Masters Double Gold – 98/100 Recognised for outstanding quality, luxurious intensity, and seamless structure. A standout among Australia’s top Shiraz releases, showcasing the power and pedigree of old-vine fruit and exceptional winemaking craft.
