Why do we love this wine?
Heathcote has long been a benchmark for shiraz in Australia, and this single-vineyard release captures everything the region does best - with the added bonus of a little age to smooth out the edges. Perfumed and layered, the nose runs from red and black fruits to floral lift, ripe briar, and savoury hints of tar and gunflint. The palate is seamless, rich without being heavy, carrying pristine fruit through a frame of tightly woven tannins. Five-plus years in bottle have softened and integrated everything, making it plush, silky, and a joy to drink right now.
