This old dog's got a bit of fight yet! Don't worry about that! Polished but powerful. A celebration of red and dark fruits with mocha and liquorice nuances thrown in for good measure. Finessed and incredibly fine-grained savoury tannins - sounds like McLaren Vale to us! After a long nap in the cellar this one is dialled in and delivering on all the promise of its youth - WOW!

Why do we love this wine?
Wonderfully textured, the wine is built around a long mineral acidity which carries intensity through the palate. Black pepper, cedar and elegant allspice notes linger throughout the lengthy, linear finish. Matured for 20+ months in new French and new American hogshead barrels - drink it now or dig a hole in your backyard and forget about it. Even with the age this one's already got, you could go another couple of years if you're feeling lazy - we're willing to bet you won't be able to keep your hands off it for that long!
