Why do we love this wine?
This is old-school Barossa shiraz from a genuinely top-shelf producer - and it’s still got plenty to give. Plum, spice, stewed fruit and black pepper propped up by super-fine, mellow tannins - a beautifully aged red that proves that, sometimes, time can be a very good friend. The nose is pure varietal charm - blackberry, plum, vanilla and spice, still lifted, still expressive. The palate’s softened with age but it's no less compelling, with layers of complex flavours unfolding gently as the wine opens up. Tannins are fine and well-resolved, giving this wine a smooth glide to a warm, spiced finish. This isn’t about brute force - it’s a study in grace and maturity. A piece of history, ready to savour right now.
