Why do we love this wine?
This one leans into the richer style of pinot that Central Otago does so well, delivering a core of ripe black cherry and plum layered with gamey notes, earthy herbs, and subtle spice. There’s a savoury thread of briar that adds intrigue, while generous oak brings a toastiness and cedary notes into the mix, without overpowering the fruit. At four years old, it’s hitting its stride; velvety, full-bodied and complex, with beautifully integrated tannins and a long, fresh finish. A bold pinot that delivers a message, but has an inside voice.
