Why do we love this wine?

This blend of shiraz and tempranillo is sourced from organic vineyards and put through a painstakingly gentle process to remove the alcohol whilst keeping all the vinous goodness. It has bright berry goodness, soft tannins, a gentle acidity and the most subtle touch of sweetness on the finish. If the barbie is going, this’ll be flowing.

Frequently Asked Questions

The painstakingly gentle alcohol removal process preserves the wine's essential character while creating a unique flavour balance. Unlike traditional wines where alcohol provides body and warmth, this zero-alcohol version relies on the natural fruit concentration and tannin structure from shiraz and tempranillo grapes. The process retains the bright berry flavours and soft tannins, while the subtle sweetness on the finish helps compensate for the missing alcohol's mouthfeel.

This blend combines shiraz's bold berry character with tempranillo's natural elegance and food-friendly acidity. Shiraz contributes the bright fruit flavours and soft tannins, while tempranillo adds structure and complexity that works particularly well in alcohol-free wines. The combination creates a more complete flavour profile than either variety alone, especially important when alcohol isn't present to provide body and warmth.

The medium-bodied structure and savoury characteristics make this an ideal barbecue companion. The bright berry flavours complement grilled meats without overwhelming them, while the soft tannins won't clash with smoky flavours. The gentle acidity helps cut through rich, fatty foods, and being alcohol-free means you can enjoy multiple glasses while manning the grill safely.

Organic vineyard practices often result in grapes with more concentrated flavours and better natural balance, which becomes crucial in alcohol-free wines. Without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, the vines develop stronger root systems and more complex fruit characteristics. This foundation of quality fruit is essential for zero-alcohol wines, as there's nowhere to hide - every flavour component must contribute meaningfully to the final blend.

Non-vintage (NV) indicates this wine blends grapes from multiple years to achieve consistent flavour and quality. For zero-alcohol wines, this approach is particularly beneficial as it allows the winemaker to balance different harvest characteristics and maintain the desired flavour profile year-round. The blending of vintages helps ensure each bottle delivers the same bright berry goodness and gentle sweetness that defines this wine's character.
