Why do we love this wine?
Deep crimson hues in the glass, looking every bit as serious as it tastes. The nose delivers dark fruits - plum and boysenberry leading the charge - backed up with classic spice, chocolate and earthy notes that add layers of complexity. Full-bodied with proper power and length, this wine's got tight tannins and bright acidity keeping everything in check. There's oak influence here, but it's measured and smart, adding structure without overwhelming all that gorgeous fruit. The balance is spot-on - a classic Eden Valley expression with enough grunt to make it interesting and enough finesse to keep it drinkable. This is serious quality that doesn't require a second mortgage. Drinkable now if you can't wait, but it's also got the bones to age beautifully if you've got the patience.
