Why do we love this wine?
The 2021 vintage was an absolute dream. Long, cool, and steady, with just enough sunshine to coax every bit of character from the vines. These masterful producers have seriously cashed in here: red and black cherries, raspberry and blackberry in perfect tandem, backed up by super-fine tannins and bright natural acid. That unmistakable crack of Grampians black pepper rides through the whole thing like a signature and rounds out a thoroughly cool-climate wine. Aged in mostly older oak to let the fruit shine, it’s already drinking beautifully now, but has the bones to cellar a few years if you’re into delayed gratification. If you want a shiraz that hits the sweet-spot - refined, regional, and seriously drinkable - this one’s a no-brainer.
