We're not surprised Halliday gave this smooth operator 95 points and a Special Value Award, we're just annoyed it's in such short supply... From a legendary producer with nearly five decades of Margaret River winemaking behind them, this is exactly what a great value red should look like. Why do we love this wine?
Juicy, vibrant and immediately likeable - blackberry, dark plum and raspberry fruit at the core, a lifted floral spice from a small Viognier component, and a polished, fleshy palate with just enough French oak to add texture without muscling in on the fruit. We wish we could tell you all about the producer, but we don't need to, the second you see that name on the label, you'll see why we're so stoked with this one. Fire up the barbecue. Open this bottle of wine. Have a wonderful day. That's really all there is to it.
