Single-vineyard fruit, smart hands in the winery, and a whole lot of flavour packed into the bottle. Trust us - you're gonna be completely stoked with this one.

Why do we love this wine?

Pop the top and this beauty brings the goods: juicy blackberries and plum, plenty of energy, and a full-bodied feel that stays smooth and controlled rather than heavy. The finish is tidy, balanced and way more polished than the price would suggest. The critics have clocked it too, handing out 95 and 96 point scores for depth, balance and vibrancy, which is nice - but honestly, you don’t need the numbers to see the joy in this one. It’s fun, flavour-packed and dangerously easy to like. A proper crowd-pleasing shiraz that punches well above its weight and gets the job done every single time.

Frequently Asked Questions

This 2021 Shiraz strikes an impressive balance between power and elegance that's characteristic of premium Barossa fruit. While many medium-bodied reds can feel thin or lack complexity, this wine delivers concentrated blackberry and plum flavours with spicebox notes, yet maintains remarkable smoothness and control. The Barossa's warm climate and ancient soils contribute to this wine's ability to pack intense flavour without becoming heavy or overwhelming.

These exceptional scores from respected wine competitions highlight the wine's technical excellence in areas like balance, depth, and vibrancy - qualities that separate good wines from great ones. A 96-point score from the Small Winemaker's Show is particularly significant as it recognises boutique producers who often craft wines with more personality and attention to detail than mass-market offerings. The Gold medal from Small Boutique Wine Awards further confirms this is a standout example of Australian Shiraz craftsmanship.

The wine's blackberry and spicebox profile makes it ideal for grilled meats, particularly lamb with rosemary or beef with pepper crusts where the wine's spice notes can complement the seasoning. The smooth, controlled tannins won't overpower lighter dishes like mushroom risotto or aged cheeses, while the juicy fruit character pairs beautifully with barbecue sauce or rich tomato-based dishes. Its balanced acidity also makes it versatile enough for charcuterie boards or even dark chocolate desserts.

The 2021 vintage in Barossa benefited from ideal growing conditions that produced wines with exceptional concentration and balance. Cool nights preserved the natural acidity while warm days allowed full flavour development, resulting in wines that show both power and finesse. This vintage is already gaining recognition for producing Shiraz with remarkable depth and aging potential, making it an excellent choice for both immediate enjoyment and cellaring.

Serve this Shiraz at 16-18°C to showcase its full flavour profile - too warm and the alcohol becomes prominent, too cool and the rich fruit character is muted. Decanting for 30 minutes will help open up the spicebox aromatics and soften any residual tannins. Store bottles on their side in a cool, dark place around 12-15°C, and this wine should continue developing beautifully for 5-8 years, though its approachable style makes it delicious right now.
