This is shiraz from way up in the High Eden that's been matured for 18 months in new and seasoned French oak barriques and puncheons. Of course it's a beast - what else could we possibly expect. Full-bodied doesn't even begin to cover it.

Why do we love this wine?
Rich, densely concentrated and powerful enough to make you sit up straight. It's genuinely one of the larger wines we've seen in quite some time – this thing is swamped with lush black cherry and liquorice, framed by a sturdy tannin structure that's got the backbone to age for years. Scorched earth, black olive, more of that dried meat character, vanillin cedar and black pepper lurk in the background like they're plotting something... and it turns out they are - a finish worthy of an Agatha Christie novel. A fantastic wine from start to finish.
