Why do we love this wine?
Near opaque in the glass, with blackberry, dark cherry and cassis on the nose, layered with mint, tobacco, dark chocolate and an oak integration so seamlessly handled you'd barely notice it was there. The palate is velvety and completely compelling - plump, smooth and richly textured, with fine tannins and a savoury depth that carries a finish of serious, lingering length. Opulent without being excessive. Powerful without losing its composure. The kind of wine that makes you put the glass down for a moment and just appreciate what's in it.
