Why do we love this wine?
Lashings of bramble, currant and crushed red berries. Some cool climate pepper-berries chime in with a nice thread of saline savoury reprieve. Meaty and woody. Earth and mushroom. Some roasted vegetables and spice. This is well crafted wine that showcases the Pyrenees as the cool climate shiraz powerhouse that it is. The tannin builds softly and slowly over the tongue, like sand washing over the beach with the tide. Beautifully presented shiraz – nigh on impossible not to finish the bottle, though I can’t say I fought the urge with any real vigour.
