Why do we love this wine?
This winemaker's resume is no joke- operating as head winemaker for one of Australia's most iconic wineries for over 2 decades, their talent is nearly unparalleled in this industry. It comes across in literally every bottle of wine they make. There's definitely a few winemaker's secrets that go into the making of this beauty, but we can tell you that top-tier Barossa fruit spends 24 months in a blend of new (30%) and old french oak. Even then, this doesn't feel like an oak-monster, instead the fruit gracefully melds with the spicy, smokey characters of the barrel and comes out seamless and sophisticated. Hats off to this shiraz, it's a winner.
