When it comes to top Aussie shiraz, Victoria’s got a dog in the fight. This is focused, with pure fruit expression and penetrating acidity that gathers the fruit profile and delivers in spades. Blueberries and blackberries in a tight, dense fruit core. White pepper and an almost imperceptible soy note give the wine a savoury edge. At its heart, though, this is a celebration of fruit intensity - persistent and powerful, energetic and joyous. It’s no wonder this unassuming Victorian got a top gong from the Halliday Wine Companion.
