Why do we love this wine?
This is well made, well stored, well matured, Barossa shiraz with nearly 10 years on it, and all our tasting notes attest to this. Deep garnet red in the glass, the maturity is apparent right from the first pour. A nose exhibiting a certain kind of friendly complexity that wines like these strive, and often struggle, to achieve. Plums, aniseed, tobacco, leather and blackcurrants run throughout the nose and into the palate. Well structured with bright acidity carrying the length, silky tannins and a lingering finish. What more could you want for this price?
