Why do we love this wine?
A fabled vintage in Barossa, this 2016 shiraz is nothing to turn your nose up at. In fact, the luxury of this wine is the first thing most critics note, one remarking that this wine will "live and mature for a whopping long time". In all honesty, you wouldn't want to drink this wine much younger, having seen almost entirely new French oak, the patchwork of tannins have started to weave their magic into the aromatic fruit profile. There's serious wine, and then there's seriously serious wine, and then there's this sumptuous shiraz. If you're looking for a benchmark, this has got to be it.
