Why do we love this wine?
Where other Italian wines may be finessed and perfumed, montepulciano is robust and brash. This is plummy, packed full of over-ripe cherry, and accented with some spice. It's roasty, bold, and earthy. The tannin structure builds nicely in the wine, providing a tidy little framework for the acid and the powerful fruit profile. Love Barossa shiraz? Then you're in for a treat on this one.
