Easy drinking, bright-fruited pinot noir. Cherries, raspberries, spice and a lingering, oaky finish. Plush, juicy, yumminess. Put it in the fridge if you like, in fact, drink this however you want. It's not precious, but it is delicious.

Don't worry, try one of these

Why do we love this wine?

Light-bodied, bright, pinot noir from a Vinomofo favourite producer. These are the kind of wines you don't need to say whole lot about, just enjoy. Whether you're into chilled reds, want something for a picnic or are looking for something light for after dinner, this is the wine for you. Red fruit, light-bodied, but with some oak roundness and a lingering fruity finish. Can't go wrong. Genuinely one of the best pinot deals we've had.

Frequently Asked Questions

This Russell & Suitor Pinot Noir represents exceptional quality at an accessible price point, which is rare for premium Pinot Noir. The 'dangerous value' rating reflects how this wine delivers the elegance and complexity typically found in much more expensive bottles. With its bright red fruit character, subtle oak integration, and the pedigree of being from a Vinomofo favourite producer, it offers serious bang for your buck that could easily spoil you for pricier alternatives.

Russell & Suitor has earned this recognition through consistent delivery of high-quality wines that punch above their weight. Their approach to winemaking focuses on expressing terroir while maintaining approachability, particularly evident in their Pinot Noir craftsmanship. The producer's ability to create wines that don't require lengthy explanations - they simply taste great - has made them a go-to choice for wine lovers seeking reliable quality without pretension.

Absolutely! This light-bodied Pinot Noir is perfect for chilling, making it incredibly versatile for different occasions and seasons. Serving it slightly chilled (around 12-14°C) enhances its bright red fruit flavours and makes it refreshing for warm weather, picnics, or casual dining. The wine's elegant, lighter style means it won't lose its character when cooled, unlike heavier reds that can become muted.

The wine's bright acidity and red fruit profile make it excellent with salmon, duck, or mushroom-based dishes that complement Pinot Noir's earthy undertones. Its light body and fresh character also pair beautifully with charcuterie, soft cheeses, or even lighter pasta dishes with tomato-based sauces. The subtle oak roundness provides enough structure to handle slightly richer foods while maintaining the wine's elegant, approachable nature.

As a 2024 vintage, this Pinot Noir is designed for immediate enjoyment while still young and vibrant, showcasing its fresh red fruit character at its peak. Most light-bodied Pinot Noirs like this are best consumed within 2-4 years of vintage to preserve their bright, primary fruit flavours. The wine's style suggests it's crafted for early drinking pleasure rather than long-term cellaring, making now the perfect time to enjoy its raspberry, sour cherry, and strawberry notes.
