This wonderful grenache is from one of the best spots in the Barossa. From old-vines that were planted in the 1930s, bringing intensity and complexity, it's a wine that has rewarded patience,. It is a classic Barossa grenache, brimming with fruit and after a year and a half in oak (all French), fruit and tannin are exquisitely integrated. That said, it’s still youthful so you’ll see lively fruit - plums, berries, blueberries - along with a real spiciness. We're talking about sweet and punchy spices like liquorice and fennel. This vibrancy will mellow over the next few years and we've got no doubt that it will just become more and more interesting - if you can manage to leave it alone for a couple of years... we wouldn't be able to.
