Let's take a look in the glass: bright, lifted red fruit, cherry, raspberry and a dash of spice, leading into a vibrant palate that's all about pure, honest fruit expression and that unmistakable cool-climate signature. Genuinely delicious young, with enough structure to reward a bit of patience - up to five years in the cellar if you can wait that long.

Why do we love this wine?
Up in the cool upper reaches of the King Valley, at 340 metres above sea level, sits a vineyard site that rarely even sees the mercury crack 32-33°C - mountain air does the rest of the work most summer evenings, with a reliable downhill breeze rolling cool air straight through the vines on its way to the valley floor. The grower behind this patch of dirt is borderline obsessive about it - Dijon Bernard Clone 115 planted tight at four-foot spacing, arch cane pruned by hand every single year, with leaf plucked strategically on the east side so the fruit gets nothing but gentle morning sun. This is the kind of site care that makes everything that happens afterwards in the winery feel like a formality. The result - delicious, expressive, elegant Pinot Noir.
