Why do we love this wine?
Martinborough is the undisputed home of pinot noir on the North Island of New Zealand. It’s a tiny little place and the wines are stunning, certainly rivalling those of the much more heralded Central Otago. This one has garnered praise from an array of critics and speaks of the terroir in every respect. It’s medium-bodied, concentrated, herbal, floral and spicy with a little whack of oak and fine-grained tannins. This has elegance, power and complexity all packed into one bottle. A stunning display of masterful winemaking.
