Why do we love this wine?
The 2021 Yarra Valley vintage was a beauty for cool-climate reds - and it appears that this pinot caught the best of a good lot. Crimson in the glass, with a perfumed nose of red cherry, violets and a brooding earthy complexity that gives it real character. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully structured - black cherry, subtle spice, a whisper of lavender and fine, velvety tannins that glide through to a fresh, savoury finish. It strikes that balance between drinkablity and complexity beautifully. A pinot for all occasions and for this price... you're laughing.
