Why do we love this wine?
These vines have been growing here for 75 years, rooted deep into those signature sands, hand-tended through every season. The fruit they produce is something else entirely. 25% whole bunches in the ferment, seven months in seasoned French puncheons, and the result is grenache that's all about fragrance and finesse. Redcurrant, crushed raspberry, strawberry and floral lift upfront - the kind of nose that stops you mid-conversation - with red liquorice, white pepper and a thread of fine silty tannin adding composure and direction underneath. It's vibrant and pure, with a tension and minerality that keeps every sip interesting. 95 points from Marcus Ellis in the 2026 Halliday Wine Companion. He called it "very good." We'd call that an understatement.

Halliday Wine Companion
"From a two-hectare 76-year-old estate block in Blewitt Springs on typically deep sands. This was fermented with 25% whole bunches, then matured in older French puncheons for seven months. Those sandy soils are writ large on the nose, which is so fragrantly lifted and expressly red fruited and floral scented. It would be easy to get carried away and be seduced by that alone, but there’s a serious pulse to this, too, with a thread of fine silty tannin and a seasoning of darker spices. In short, it has oodles of charm equalled by cool composure and savoury refinement. It’s very good. 95 Points" - Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion
