Why do we love this wine?
Dark crimson in the glass, with a flicker of purple that gives away its freshness, this is shiraz that never threatens to hold back. The vineyard shines through in the fruit, bringing liquorice and eucalypt right up front, wrapped in mocha, cedar oak and that unmistakable choc-mint character that this one’s known for. The palate is plush, powerful and layered. Black fruit surges through, framed by flowing, structural tannins that are firm without being harsh. There’s richness, yes, but also an underlying darkness - brooding earth and spice - that keeps the wine grounded. The choc-mint note runs long across the finish, adding freshness to all that depth.
