Classic cab - with Barossa muscle. Cabernet might not get the same spotlight as shiraz in the Barossa, but when it’s good - it’s outstanding. Bungalow Lane is a big, bold celebration of cabernet’s structure and flavour, showing just how well this variety thrives in Barossa soil and sunshine.

Why do we love this wine?
From the first pour, it’s unapologetically cab. Blackcurrant and cassis lead the charge, with darker threads of plum and blackberry in the mix. There’s a savoury cab backbone too - tobacco leaf, cedar, a touch of graphite - all wrapped up with well-judged oak. The palate is full-bodied and robust, with firm but ripe tannins that coat the mouth and carry the fruit into a long, satisfying finish. This is cabernet built for hearty food — slow-braised beef, roast lamb, or anything charred over charcoal. It’s drinking beautifully now with a decent decant, but it’s got the bones to go another 8-10 years if you’ve got patience and a good cellar. Barossa might be famous for shiraz, but this bottle proves cabernet deserves a spot in the conversation - rich, structured, and completely delicious.
