The Mediterranean climate of McLaren Vale is practically purpose-built for this Sicilian variety. Warm days, cool nights, ancient soils and a natural generosity that encourages everything nero d'Avola does best - vibrant red fruit, lifted aromatics and a freshness that makes it one of the most food-friendly reds you'll pour all year. Violet and dried herbs on the nose, with sweet red berry, fine chalky tannins and a crisp, balanced finish that makes it genuinely hard to stop at one glass. Light enough to be completely approachable. Characterful enough to hold your attention. This wine is a whole lot of fun.
