Why do we love this wine?
When Jeremy Oliver tasted this upon release, he called it the most exciting young cabernet from Mount Mary yet. well now, twenty-three years on, it's the most exciting aged cabernet from Mount Mary yet. These are wines that I look forward to every year, and they never let me down. The fruit has moved further into the developed spectrum, but it's lost none of its intensity. It's accompanied now by the nuance and intricacy of time; leather, herbal lift, earth, game, sweet smoke - there is so much to unpack and discover that you almost need to open two bottles in a sitting.
