Why do we love this wine?
'Telleira' is the Galician word for tile factory. In ancient times, the reddish soil of these plots was used to make clay tiles that covered the roofs of the houses now that magical soil is home to many lovely Galician grape varieties. The proximity to the Miño River, the plots benefit from a very special microclimate within the DO Ribeiro. Winemaker Pablo Estévez has been awarded Winemaker of the Year multiple years running at the BACO Awards, and his bottlings consistently gain 90+ points in Spain’s prestigious Guía Peñin. It's not hard to see why all the high praise when sipping on this marvellously fresh and floral mencia.
