Why do we love this wine?
Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre together, and the whole point of the blend is texture as much as flavour. But get past the first impression and there's actual backbone here. The tannins have real complexity to them, giving the mouthfeel some genuine grip rather than just coasting on fruit. Underneath that there's a savoury depth too - anise, dried herb, a bit of earth - and a finish that holds its shape instead of fading out. It'll go the distance in the cellar, but it's deeply drinkable right now.
