This is one of the best pinots in the country. No word of a lie. When it comes to cool-climate pinot noir, Macedon's one of the best places in the country to be. Cool nights, cool days, cool summers, cool winters... you get the point. This thing is like nothing you've ever tried before.

Why do we love this wine?
This is pinot noir made with an almost obsessive attention to detail - five separate clones processed individually, two harvesting dates a week apart, 90% destemmed with wild fermentation in open vats, the remaining 10% whole bunch semi-carbonic. Twelve months in French barriques. Every decision deliberate, considered and completely purposeful. The result is a wine of genuine humility and grace that somehow also manages to be completely captivating. Cedar, tilled earth, tea tree and aniseed on the nose - complex and quietly intriguing. The palate moves effortlessly, with black cherry and plum at the core, a gorgeous savoury depth and a delicate spice that lingers and coaxes you back for another sip before you've even thought about it.
