Why do we love this wine?
Deep crimson with a dense purple core, it's got everything the region's famous for - blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, backed by liquorice, vanilla and both black and white pepper. Full and generous, properly concentrated, with firm tannins and acid sitting exactly where it should. The oak adds mocha, spice and savoury depth without ever burying the fruit underneath it. Tannins are smooth and velvety, tensioned by youthful vibrancy, building to a long finish of blackberry, plum, dark chocolate and pepper that just keeps going.
