Why do we love this wine?
Get your nose in and it's cassis, liquorice and a cool hit of mint, with spicy cedar sitting underneath doing some genuinely serious work. On the palate it goes lush and a little bit reckless - blackcurrant coated in dark chocolate, more mint, a shake of earthy spice, all folded into one long, velvet-textured mouthful. Tannins are silky, no rough edges anywhere, and they carry that richness into a finish that just keeps rolling. Feels like it goes for about an hour. In the best way possible.

Deep crimson with purple depth. Blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum, then cedar, mint, graphite and a little spice. 15% alc and it stands up. No sign of a cooler vintage. Full. Super-rich cassis and dark berry, fine tannin, lively acid. Oak adds gentle chocolate and savoury depth. Long, dry finish of cassis, graphite and spice. Rich, bold, full flavoured. Excellent viticulture and winemaking. Vino Masters Score: 96/100 ★★★★★ A Barossa Cabernet with rich cassis, graphite and a long dry close.
